Hey Everybody,

So it’s been a while since I last reached out, but the Live Revolution is out of the studio and on the uprise! Harnessing the raw musical weaponry of Todd Pentney on Keys, Chino Deville on drums, Matt Fullbrook on Bass, Paul Metcalf on Sax, Jon Challoner on Trumpet and Christian Overton on Trombone, the new record is set to be released on August 22nd 2009 at Hugh’s Room.

Since last year, we’ve logged some serious studio hours and just played our first gig at the Barrie Waterfront festival. And although the ferocious cold wind tried to keep our fingers from their full potential and our instruments from being harmoniously in tune, our Canadian blood and desire for the explosion of funk rose up like a phoenix from the flame. Basically it turned out to be an awesome gig and the people of Barrie were amazing and very fun to play for.  Thanks to the even promoters, Lido and Rico for getting us out there.

This Summer is gonna be a great one. We’ve been asked to perform at the Toronto Independent Music Awards on the 17th of June, Wasaga beach festival on the 28th of June, July 4th at the Horseshoe (alongside Jay Spectre) and then the mother of all summer parties, the Beaches Streetfest (I still like to think of it as the beaches jazz festival).  And if that doesn’t satisfy your funk-fix, we will be launching our newest CD at Hugh’s room on August 22nd. 

There’s also all kinds of great opportunities coming our way, which I don’t want to jinx by mentioning before they happen, but there’s going to be lot’s of cool surprises and special guests throughout the summer and the fall of 2009.

So I’ll be keeping a blog here to keep everyone who’s interested in the loop as the boys and I start to drop our grooves all over town again. Remember, if you’re looking for a place to cut loose, and shake your tail, or to just lose yourself in some real deal, heart-pounding music, we’ll be around and we’d love to see you out at the next concert. Oh and did I mention we have an album on the way?
